Hey guys - I'm looking for a good, small graphics editor (Paint) program - needless to say, one that runs portably - and I was hoping you could help me find one.I'm not looking for a high-powered app like portable GIMP, just something that does what MS Paint does, w/ maybe a few more features, particularly the capability of zooming OUT a ways (not just IN), which Paint doesn't do. I have Irfan View, which I do some work with, but cutting and pasting with Irfan is problematic. Whenever I attempt to past into Irfan, it converts itself to a window containing the copied/cut segment (basically, a clipboard view), and the original window disappears.Yesterday I found an open-source proggy called "MrImage" (which is less than 5 M unpacked) and does what I want it to do, except for one tiny problem: It acts kinda flaky. Sometimes it closes down for no reason, other times it REFUSES to close down when I tell it to, etc. Apparently the development on it has ceased as of sometime in '04, but it appears to be open-source, so perhaps someone esle has improved it? (Or so I hope).Link:www.mrimage.sourceforge.netAny ideas, guys?...Thx. How much is Irfan View’s net worth? There are more than five crore rupees in Irfan’s net worth. I realize they are "only" viewers but they don't seem to have the "click on something gray or white" function to correct an image color shift. All I can find is color correction using sliders. Am I missing something in Irfan or FastStone? Especially FastStone which is quite good for quick and dirty editing.I am a bit restricted as to to what viewers/editors I can use because my images start life as Sigma .X3F raw files, not the most supported file type on the planet. My alternatives are Sigma's Photo Pro 5.1 (which is unable to crop!!) and ACR->PhotoShop which is, well . . . Adobe ;-)Not really looking for suggestions to use anything other than what I have, thanks. 15th February 2013, 04:37 PM #2 Re: White Balancing in FastStone or Irfan Viewers? I've never seen a white balance tool in Irfanview but a quick Google has turned up this: to the penultimate filter close to the bottom of the page and read about 'Jazzman’s White Balance I', that might do what you want.KenPS thanks for asking the question. I too have missed not having an AWB feature in Irfanview for quick & dirty editing but until now I've never bothered to search. I'm going to try this filter when I get a chance. 15th February 2013, 06:42 PM #3 Re: White Balancing in FastStone or Irfan Viewers?
