#1 Ammyy Admin Alernatives?I purchased Ammyy admin for two reasons.1) I've seen large companies use it before (GFI Virus Removal Team)2) It's a one-time fee/cheaper than TeamviewerHere is the issue though..... it's constantly getting disconnected.It runs all remote sessions through the ammyy servers which it appears they cannot handle the load. It's basically garbage with me being disconnected 15 times in a 1 hour session.I cannot afford some crazy $700+ license right now and it seems nobody has a good monthly rate either.I just support 1 client at a time for upto 2 hours when I go in remotely.Ideas? Been using it for years and has never let me down. I like that I can PAYG it, rather than having to pay a subscription fee that I may or may not get value from . I think it costs us about $7 a sess, but thats variable price depending on how many you go through and at what rate. interface for end-users is pretty straightforward too #7 I've been using Ammy Admin as my main remote support app and have never had disconnection issues. It works great for me, except on a particular HP AIO where the screen resolution only lets me see a chunk of it and I can't scroll/slide to see more. In that one case, I use Techinline, which works great, but I really prefer Ammy. The Techinline price is $5.95/session for a block of 20 sessions now, where it was $3/session for a block of 20 sessions when I bought my last batch. Spam. I think the nature of this product has something to do with the "one post wonders." IMHO the posts are to well written to be all spam. I can see the allure for the casual DIYer. But still need to pull the base, cut under door jams, caulk all those joints, etc... I guess for the type of person who would use boxes of laminate flooring it is a tile look alike. I have read about bad batches of grout, one case of the paper backing sticking that sound credible.Have a nice day.arzoo62305-28-2013, 07:47 AMDo not use in the bathroom! The special grout is porous and water leaks through it! Needless to say the wood sub floor didn’t like it. :cry:Welcome, Leonard. :)No ceramic tile installation is considered waterproof. If you want to protect a wood subfloor from moisture with any sort of tile installation, you'd need to use a waterproofing membrane of some sort.Can't fault the SnapStone installation in that regard, eh? :)My opinion; worth price charged.Lakee91105-28-2013, 11:44 AMYa'll asked for a negative one post wonder, and you got it. So no floating floor with pieces is suitable for wet applications... Waterproofing may save the sub-floor but it will become moldy and smelly in that case....mm4910609-21-2013, 10:52 AMMy husband & I put this tile in the kitchen and 2 bathrooms. This is great stuff, easy to put down. Grouting is not the traditional method of pushing it all over the tiles and into the seams. This you put the grout in the seam and smooth off.It has been down for at least 3 years and it still cleans up great, has not cracked anywhere and we just love it. This is the most major and one I'm so proud of. And I'm a genuine amateur.RickMaureenN04-30-2012, 09:05 AMMy husband used the snapstone tile for the floor and special ordered coordinating colored snapstone tile to use around the tub/shower. He did this project over a year and a half ago in the kids' bathroom. Lots of splashing and use with 3 kids each night and it still looks new. There is a different finish on the tiles used in the shower area and the larger 12" size was not available. We love the look of the finished product and Husband LOVED the ease and time cutting it took versus trying the laying ceramic tile tradional way. Son had overflowed toilet and didn't tell us until we saw water dripping from ceiling downstairs so damage to the floor and a MUST DO move up the list of remodels in our 1978 house! We love the look so much that we are saving until the next Menard sale and husband is going to do the kitchen, powder room, dining table area and the entryway and hallway as soon as the $ in. With three little kids running around all the time, time is important to us and anything is better then what is there now. He loved not having to do much in floor prep, too. Hopefully my pic shows up.bonnie holtz05-07-2012, 10:53 AMwe just had snapstone tile installed in our home and had nothing but trouple with it. the grout was like cement in some of the containers could not even stir it. took back some of the grout to menards and had them open the containers before purchasing and the employee could not stir it and only 1/2 of grout in container. tile has cracked in 10 places so far. snapstone is coming out to inspect and repair. we are very unhappy with the product and wish we would of went ceramic. it looks easy on videos but hard to install. as far as i am concern snaptile could pull it all out and redo it. check out snap tile throuhly
